The Saginaw Oakland Commercial Association (SOCA) works to revitalize the Saginaw Street and Oakland Avenue corridors in Lansing, Michigan.

SOCA is a non-profit organization working to revitalize business, residential, and public areas along the Saginaw Street corridor between Stanley, Pennsylvania, Shiawassee and Maple streets in Lansing. Using the Michigan Main Street Four Point approach to revitalization, SOCA works to improve the corridor through organizational development, business promotion, beautification projects and public art, and walkability and bike-friendly promotion.

Now that Phase 1 of The Pointe West Art Project is complete it’s time for Phase 2 and we need your help!

What was Phase 1?  The development and construction of the

“Prosperity” statue that will sit on the “Pointe” and welcome in travelers coming from the west into Lansing.

What is Phase 2? To continue the landscaping phase to create a walkable and bikeable area in front of the statue to eventually connect to the city’s river trail.

How you can help: Become a member of SOCA, or renew your membership BEFORE NOVEMBER 1st!

Everything helps move this phase of the project along, and will give you membership for one year in SOCA, starting Jan. 1, 2018
